Upcoming concerts at the Unitarian Universalist Congregation of the Upper Valley
Sunday, April 28, 2024 4 pm--The Ruta Beggars

Ever since they met in Berklee's American Roots program, the Ruta Beggars have been playing bluegrass and old-time swing together, both honoring the traditions and carrying them forward. Their playing is by turns fiery and playful, and always impeccable. They've opened for the likes of Lyle Lovett and Ricky Skaggs. Watch them live in front of the Fenway MBTA Train Stop, and you'll be hooked:

Saturday, April 13, 2024 7 pm--Bob Wetzel performs Cabaret music
Saturday, May 18, 2024  7:30pm--House of Hamill
House of Hamill is ostensibly a Celtic band, and though that's their basic sound, their tastes are far more eclectic, including indie folk and covers of bands such as Guns n' Roses (an all-violin arrangement of Sweet Child of Mine) and Heart (Magic Man). Violinist Rose Baldino (Burning Bridget Cleary), guitarist Brian Buchanan (Enter the Haggis) and bassist Caroline Browning serve up pretty much whatever strikes their fancy. Paul MacArthur of celticradio.net puts it best: "Absolutely electrifying... mesmerizing melodies that redefine what's traditional, with personality and verve."
