Adult and Family Education

Rev. Patience and Sparrow offer learning and community building experiences most Sunday afternoons from discussion groups to classes to congregational Easter Dinner, please come.  Make the time, enjoy the community, and deepen your journey.

Keep track of what’s offered with your eye on the calendar, and the Weekly Blast email Please email the office to be added to that list.  In the past we have offered groups on the book The Case for God, the book Transitions: Moving Through Change, and a workshop-style group on Communicating with Care.

Current Adult RE:

Dartmouth Outreach:  undergrad and graduate students stay in touch with Sparrow the CRE and each other for lunches and worship.  We are investigating creating a Campus Ministry presence.

Living With Limits: An ongoing group which meets to face the challenges of physical limitations with humour, support, and deep caring.

Lunch with Patience and Sparrow: Explore Unitarian Universalist identity and values combined with UUCUV history and future aspirations.  Bring questions and a brown bag lunch to this group and consider the meaning of membership in this friendly, forward-thinking congregation.  Those in the group who choose to make a commitment to the UUCUV will be welcome to sign the membership book in the worship service.

Artists’ Date Open Studio: Let your mind rest as your hands and heart use art supplies to non-verbally explore the issues and stories you have been working with.  Sparrow will establish the sacred space and provide materials (please feel free to bring your own art media if you wish).  This open studio time will happen approximately quarterly, beginning in December.  Everyone over 13 is welcome.
