“I am excited to become the Affiliated Community Minister at UUCUV!  Community ministers serve beyond the walls of the church, in my case as a hospital chaplain. The purpose of affiliation is to create a mutually beneficial relationship connecting the affiliated minister with a congregation and the congregation to the minister’s work in the wider world.  My contributions as Affiliated Community Minister will include preaching a complimentary sermon annually and leading an adult education class, providing pastoral care training, or giving a presentation on chaplaincy. During this current crisis I have offered to assist Rev. Jan with pastoral care or other needs as they arise.  I am inspired by the friendliness and the commitment I have experienced at UUCUV and am looking forward to being affiliated with this wonderful congregation.”
